Plot Summary of Interview With The Vampire
"Reporter Daniel interviews a man who claims to be a vampire, and hears an amazing tale. Louis was a young plantation owner, turned into a vampire by the charismatic and unscrupulous Lestat. They complete their 'family' by making a child vampire, a girl called Claudia. Claudia and Louis flee from Lestat, seeking the origins of vampires in the Old World. This is a melancholy tale of lost idealism and an eternal life that turns out to be a curse for the young man on whom it has been bestowed - Louis takes little pleasure in killing, and his supernatural powers only alarm him as he finds himself becomming ever less human. "
Bryn Pearson, Resident Scholar

"When Louis meets up with Lestat his life changes forever. Told from the perspective of the Louis in the modern day, Interview With the Vampire tells the creation and life of a vampire living through the centuries. It is book one in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. "
Louise Karczmarz, Resident Scholar

"The main character Louie hires a interviewer to record his life. Louie starts to tell about how he became a vampire and about how he strives to become a vampire and then he and Lestat make a girl, Claudia into a vampire. Claudia kills Lestat (She thinks she did anyway.) A few months go by than Louie meets another vampire called Armand, he owns a theater and he wants Louie to visit, Louie vistits and they kill Claudia and her vampire friend."
Sara, Resident Scholar

"A young reporter is mystified as Louis recounts how he became a vampire. This interview introduces the reporter to Lestat, the vampire who forever changed the life of Louis. Horrid stories are told about the vampire's life together and how Louis eventually rebelled. He could no longer take the bloodlust hunting or the evils of the night. His rebellious plan was to begin with killing Lestat."
Tracey Ray, Resident Scholar
