| Plot Summary of Dreamtown |
"Jazz musician Jake Romero hits the road when a night with a casual lover turns into a deadly confrontation with her jealous mobster boyfriend.
Running out of gas in a small southern beach town, he walks into a bar for a drink and meets beautiful, restless young waitress Anne Ryan.
A passionate one night stand leads Jake to take a job with the bar band and pursue Anne, whose knowledge of music and kind attention win Jake's heart. But her affections turn surprisingly cold.
Struggling desperately to understand, he uncovers her dark secret — she's dying. And Jake's not running this time. He sacrifices everything he has to try and save her life, even if it means losing his own.
This is a passionate romance about a man who has not committed to anything except his own music - at last finding love. And finding that his love is dying, he tries to save her. And in saving her, his reckless single mindedness leads to his own death.
Get out the handkerchiefs."
