| Plot Summary of The Price of Freedom |
"Captured at the end of WWII the author serves 6 years slave labour in Russian prisoner of war camps. Upon his release he is deported from Budapest for being a member of the upper class. During the 1956 Hungarian uprising he escapes to Austria but is forced to leave his baby daughter behind. It is another six years before he gains her freedom."
