Mitt and his family are convinced that a few of the members of the Free Holanders turned in their own people in fear of being hurt by Earl Hadd's people. Mitt sets out to avenge the people that are responsible for his father's death. He decides to join the Free Holanders so he can work from inside to take them down.

While sailing north, they come across another sailboat. On the sailboat is the man who shot Earl Hadd with the sniper. It turns out that the shooter is Mitt's father. Mitt's father turns out to be a bad person who betrayed the Free Holanders. He forces Mitt to sail him to the Holy Islands. Best part of story, including ending:
What I liked about this story was that Mitt set out to avenge his father's death and was successful. He did his job in finding who the killer was.
Best scene in story:
My favorite part of the book was when Mitt's bomb attempt fails. I like part because it was a great twist when the bomb did not go off. Also, it was followed by another great scene when Earl Hadd is shot with a sniper.
Opinion about the main character:
What I liked most about Mitt was that he had a lot of courage. He was not afraid to fight against his father when he knew that he his father was evil.
