Plot Summary of No Ordinary Princess
"Thomas Thursday Walker is a half breed orphan. Raised in a orphanage all his life, at 17 he left and joined the Rough Riders in their war in Cuba. While there he met and befriended wealthy easterners. They taught him how to behave in public as a gentleman and he yearns to be wealthy like his friends. After the war he roams and takes odd jobs and finds himself in Oklahoma Territory close to where he grew up. He attends a picnic and there meets and begins seducing the daughter of an oil baron. He also takes a job on one of the oil rigs owned by her father.

Princess Calhoun is a 24 year old spinster with the ability to direct all around her. She is a kind hearted woman who wants to fall in love. She knows that someday she will meet the man who will be hers and know it at the moment she meets him. Unfortunately she is not a classical beauty. Her beauty is within. At a picnic she and her father hold every year for the community she sees such a man. The man she meets is Gerald Tarkington Crane( Tom Walker). He tells her he is from a wealthy family in New Jersey.

Tom seduces and marries Princess. Now he has to keep his real identity from her. He is surprised to find that he has fallen in love with her. He makes up his mind to tell her of his deception and just as he is beginning to make his confession there is an explosion at the oil rig. Unable to stay away when his friends are in danger he goes to the oil field and his deception is uncovered. He does become the hero of the day however.

Will Princess forgive him? If she does will she ever be able to ever trust him again? Would she have loved him had she known he was an orphan from the beginning? These are the questions answered as you read this delightful romantic story."
