| Plot Summary of Pretty Things |
"Brie is in love with her gay best friend, Charlie. Charlie is in love with Walker, a handsome but irascible ladies' man. Walker is in love with Daisy, who has a girlfriend. The four of them sign up for a theatre group that is performing The Taming of the Shrew and their lives will never be the same.
Charlie struggles with his sexuality. He doesn't know which world he belongs in. When he and Brie get in a fight and she refuses to talk to him, Charlie doesn't know what to do. Usually, he is the leader in their relationship. He is constantly insulting Brie and putting her down her intelligence. Brie learns that she can survive on her own without Charlie, though it is a little harder than she expected.
Daisy and Brie have only one thing in common: they both despise Walker, who goes through girls faster than celebrities go through money. Daisy also doesn't know where she belongs. Does she belong with her current girlfriend, Claire, who is at a camp in the middle of nowhere? Or does she belong with Walker, even though he is famous for quick, superficial relationships?
