Plot Summary of Blind Passion
"Julie, who was vivacious and an extrovert had the magnetic personality that attracted males. She was half Native American with perfect almond eyes and long dark hair. Her childhood in the 1970's had plenty of turmoil in it as her parents divorced with a bitter custody trial for Julie and her younger brother. She lived between Philadelphia and New Jersey with an alcoholic mother and a father who lived with a young girlfriend. Julie became reckless as she approached young adulthood with many failed relationships until she met an older Tim Gist in the 1990's. Tim owned his own fertilizer business and with the help of Julie's smarts and computer knowledge, the business turned into a million dollar enterprise. They finally wed and the marriage seemed happy as Julie merged into modeling. Tim took some swimsuit pictures of her that ended up in The Trentonian newspaper ad and got Julie noticed.

After the birth of their daughter Katie, Julie suffered post partum depression and hated the fact her body had changed. She worked relentlsely to lose the weight and depended on cocaine and alcohol to numb her pain. Her marriage was unhappy so she booked a Caribbean cruise in 1997 for the couple to work out their problems. Aboard the cruise ship, Julie meets George Skiadopoulos, a not so handsome or rich Greek sailor six years her junior who shared in the mutual attraction. The flirting on that cruise that occurred prompted Julie to schedule the same cruise three months later, convincing her husband it made her happy. It was there the torrid affair between Julie and the Greek sailor took off. After that return Julie began sending many faxes to the cruise ship to communicate with the controlling and manipulative George Skiadopoulos.
She decided to end the marriage to Tim and love the Greek sailor Her renewed relationship with her mother wilted, her friends expressed disappointment, her young daughter wasn't the priority in her life anymore and her life was about to have a dramatic change.

Julie was convinced her life would be grander if she moved to Kavala, Greece where George is from. She left her daughter and her life to move far away from home to be with her lover who had proposed to her. After a few weeks there Julie began to feel homesick and to have some reservations about marrying George. When he understood that Julie might go back to America and leave him and take her 600,000-divorce settlement money, he snapped. He strangled Julie, tried to burn her body that wouldn't ignite due to the rain and tried to cover up his crime. He placed her in a large black suitcase he retrieved from his Grandmother's home and realized her head kept popping out so he decided to hacksaw her head off so she would fit. George dumped the suitcase into a lake and then He tried to burn the head and with its remnants he threw it over a cliff. George then called Julie's family in New Jersey and told them she went missing until friends and family pieced together this horrific crime. George finally broke and admitted to the murder and is serving a life sentence in Greece for this unspeakable transgression.
