Plot Summary of Moonrise: Warriors The New Prophecy # 2
"There are four clans of wild cats living in the forest according to the rules their ancestor cats, StarClan, have laid down for them. Now things are changing, StarClan sent dreams to a cat from each clan telling them to look for Midnight. So Feathertail, Brambleclaw, Tawneypaw, and Crowpaw, joined together to follow StarClan's instructions. Stormfur, Feathertail's brother, and Squirrelpaw, an apprentice who followed Brambleclaw, also joined the quest. They learned to work together and finally they found Midnight, which turned out to be a wise old badger. She told them that the humans would begin to wreck their homes and if they were to survive all four clans must join together and find a new home. She says that going over the mountains will be the quickest route home. Since their other option is trying to find their way back through the suburbs with all the dangerous humans, they decide to go over the mountains. Unfortunately, there are narrow ledges and dead ends all over the place. They are trying to cross a river when the debris breaks loose and all the cats are thrown into the river. They are swept downstream and over a waterfall. They are barely alive enough to pull themselves out of the water. While they are laying on the bank trying to recover, some wild looking cats approach them and offer them shelter. They are cats from the Tribe of Rushing Waters. They live in a huge cavern behind the waterfall. Their leader, who is also the medicine cat, invites them to stay until they are all healed up. Brambleclaw is suspicious of their generosity, but they badly need to rest, especially Tawneypaw who is still recovering from a rat bite. So for a few days they stay with Tribe cats. But when they try to leave the Tribe kidnaps Stormfur. They believe he is going to fulfill a prophecy that their ancestor cats gave them. The others are escorted to the edge of the Tribes territory and told Stormfur will be taken good care of. Feathertail refuses to leave Stormfur and says she will go back for him. The rest of the group reluctantly decides to help her. They will need to be cunning and inventive if they are to recover Stormfur and continue on their mission. "
