Plot Summary of Midnight: Warriors, The New Prophecy # 1
"For generations, four clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to laws laid down by their powerful ancestor clans, but things are about to change. The young ThunderClan warrior Brambleclaw dreams that one of their ancestor cats tells him that he has been chosen to fulfill a prophecy and save the forest cats At the new moon he will meet the other three cats who have been chosen to fulfill this prophecy as well. As the day progresses he decides that it must have been a combination of his wild imagination and too much dinner. He can't imagine why he would be chosen and not an older more experienced warrior. Then Firestar, the clan leader asks him to take Squirrelpaw along on his hunting trip. Squirrelpaw drives the rest of the dream from his mind with her nonstop chatter and sarcastic comments. Brambleclaw is excited to go to the monthly gathering of the four forest clans, because he will get to see his sister Tawneypaw. Tawneypaw is a ShadowClan cat because she is more comfortable in her father's clan, whereas Brambleclaw is more comfortable in his mother's clan. Then he discovers that Tawneypaw had a dream similar to his. They decide to meet again at the new moon and see if two other cats show up as well.   When the new moon comes Feathertail and Stormfur come from RiverClan and Crowpaw comes from WindClan. They wait for a while but no one receives another sign from the ancestor cats, so they decide to talk at the next gathering and see if anyone receives a sign by then. A few days later Brambleclaw dreams of a sunset over a salty sea. He decides that it is a message from the ancestors. The others agree and they begin to travel toward the sea, but it will be a long an dangerous journey to discover what they need to save their clans. Then one day into their trip Brambleclaw catches Squirrelpaw following them. She has figured out that something is going on and wants to be apart of it. Brambleclaw will have to deal not only with Squirrelpaw's impulsiveness, but also Crowpaw's anger and grumpiness. They will have to overcome rats, and other animals as well as large housing developments with their dangerous humans. "
