Plot Summary of Charles Dickens: His Tragedy and Triumph
"    Charles Dickens wrote "A Christmas Carol", "Oliver Twist", and "David Copperfield", which are still required reading in most literature courses. Charles Dickens often dealt with the subject of poverty. In Victorian England, which is when Dickens was at the height of his popularity, most poor people spent a great deal of their lives in debtor's prison, and most children were forced to go to work in the coal mines, which were dangerous and unhealthy. Dickens was a social reformer."
