Plot Summary of Falcondance
"Nicias is the son of two falcon exiles who serve the serpiente and avian thrones. His job is to protect the heir to the throne, Oliza. He has never really been at home with either avian or serpiente culture, yet Oliza has his loyalty. Then he begins to manifest the magic that falcons have. If his magic is not stopped soon it will kill him. So he travels to Ahnmik, the falcon homeland, to see his Aunt Araceli, the heir to the Falcon throne. If she will not help him, he will die. He does not know the falcon culture and he becomes a pawn in a political power struggle. The only person who will help him is considered crazy by her own people. Nicias must survive betrayal and decide whether he should stay with his own kind or whether he is loyal to Oliza."
