| Plot Summary of Something Blue |
"This is the story of Darcy, a selfish woman who's still reeling because her goody-goody friend stole her fiance, Dex. Darcy cheated on Dex with Dex's college roommate, Marcus...and Darcy is pregnant with Marcus's baby. Darcy hates Dex and Rachel for betraying her.
Darcy's life falls further to pieces when Marcus breaks up with her because he's tired of her obsessing about Dex and Rachel. Thinking quickly, Darcy contacts her fifth-grade boyfriend, Ethan, who is now living in London, and convinces him to let her stay with him "for a few weeks." She's already planning to stay longer.
Eventually Ethan confronts Darcy about her self-centered nature and lack of concern for her unborn baby. Stung, Darcy makes a list of ways she can improve herself. As she becomes more considerate, she finds herself in a "real" relationship with a doctor (after switching to another ob/gyn). However, she's still sharing a platonic bed with Ethan in his small apartment... even though Ethan's got a girlfriend.
