| Plot Summary of Exile's Return |
"After being branded a traitor and exiled by the mysterious Conclave of Shadows and magically taken to the little known continent of Novindus, (the ex) Duke Kaspar of Olasko finds himself stuck in a strange place and about to be killed by nomads. A narrow escape and another assassination attempt later (this time by a young boy with a crossbow), Kaspar finds himself shelter with a local woman and her son.
Now Kaspar must roam the continent of Novindus, to find away off of it to exact his revenge on Talwin Hawkins, the man who betrayed him into exile. That is, until he meets some mysterious mercenaries who have found a strange body that seems to 'direct' them towards the Ratn'gary mountains, where it is said that the gods live. After his companions all die of mysterious causes, Kaspar finds himself the only one to make his way up to the Pavillion of the Gods.
