| Plot Summary of Coco Twain Tells the Truth |
"What begins as an innocent sleepover catapults into life-changing events for Coco Twain, her best friend Sonja Reynolds, and Sonja's mom Daisy when they discover two fugitives from the Oklahoma State Prison hiding inside the Reynolds's home. The men, Buford Markman and Alfred Hooper, have escaped from the state prison and need a remote hideout from the law. Daisy is unperturbed by the unexpected visitors and juggles her job, family, and the two houseguests with an uncommonly good attitude. The girls must continue their typical summer lives without revealing information about the new houseguests. They even manage to travel on an Order of Rainbow for Girls trip to McAlister, Oklahoma. The men, on the other hand, take up cooking, gardening, and artwork and keep attuned to news about the other escaped convicts. Coco finds herself hiding the truth from her family."
