Plot Summary of Waiting for Yesterday
"Barrett Overbrook woke up with a searing pain in her stomach and extreme discomfort between her wide-spread legs. As unconceivable as it was, a black man with distinguished blue eyes was shouting at her to ‘push' while another man with sterner features was holding her down. She was giving birth! How did she fell out of her miserable life in 1997 to an equally desolate life in the wild outback of Columbus, Ohio100 years back? Did it have anything to do with the strange old man claiming to be her guardian angel?

Hard as it was to cope with the rudimentary life she was catapulted into (as Elizabeth), her sensitive breasts constantly ached with pent-up milk and her so-called husband, Chase, seemed to resent her. Resent would be truly be an understatement. His handsome face was frequently a tight and unreadable mask, and other times, he chose to ignore her presence. Her newly acquired brother-in-law (the black man) was equally wary of her and the people in the town were often rigid and not overly friendly at best. Clearly, Elizabeth was a recluse and despised by her husband but what made Chase so unapproachable? Barrett yearned to wipe off the contempt in his eyes but how could she reach him when the reasons and answers were beyond her? Not to forget, he hated her as well, because she was in the body of Elizabeth.
