He shares how player Bret Boone suspiciously bulked up and went from making $3.25 million to $8 million a year as a reason why many players use steroids. He does seem to champion “responsible” and “careful” steroid use, but he recently claimed to no longer feel that way after having to testify before the House Government Reform Committee.
