| Plot Summary of Local Hero |
"Hester moved to a new apartment with her nine year old son Radley. Radley is obsessed with comic books, and when he learns that his neighbor writes his favorite comic book, he is estatic. Hester isn't sure she likes Mitch, however. He makes her wish that she wasn't just a mother.
Mitch has never thought about having kids, but when Radley starts coming over everyday after school, he realizes that he not only wants Radley, but he wants his mother as well. He sets out to win Hester, with fancy dinners and romantic words, and he finally wins her over by catching her off guard.
Mitch wants to marry Hester, but because of her bad experiences in her past marriage, she doesn't want to marry him. Will he be able to change her mind?"
