Plot Summary of The Sight
"There was a cold winter in the land of Tasmania. A lone male wolf stood alone in the cold elements, searching for the den. Then movement behind him causes him to whirl around snarling, only to face the beautiful face of his mate, Palla. Palla, weighted down with unborn, also searches for the cave. Finally the two find the den and settle down to rest. Minutes later, three other wolves join them. Bran, a lower class wolf, Khaz, a handsome wolf with a red bushy tail, and Kiptcha his mate. Night falls outside the den and all the wolves are pushed out of the cave for Palla, as she gives birth. Three days later, she lets them in. Out of five pups two survive. A black male and a white female. The name Fell is given to the black pup and the name Larka, which means snow in the wolf language, is given to the white one. Many nights pass and soon the pups gain their eye sight. Then one night, a lone wolf come to the den. Palla's mate, Huttser, and the other three wolves didn't recongnize the she-wolf, but Palla did.

"Morgra!" she hissed. The stranger, who was Morgra, Palla's sister then asked if she could see the new born pups. After being refused three times, she gives them five days to decide before disappering into the night.

More then five days pass and an orphaned pup, named Kar joins the pack. He and Larka become fast friends but Fell refused to do anything with him. Then that night, Morgra appears, and asks if she could see the pups. This time Palla and Huttser snarl her away. Morgra, angered by this, puts a curse upon the pack and flees.

Months go by, and Larka, Fell, and Kar are taken to their first hunt. During the hunt, Larka expeirences one of the three powers that she never knew she had. She sees through the eyes of a bird. Scared by the what took place she fled the scene. Her family tries to find her. During the search, Khaz falls into a hunting pit and is killed. The pack flees to their meeting place. There another wolf, the nanny of Fell and Larka, confesses her crime against Morgra. She also explains to the pack that her death isn't that far away. One morning, Fell wakes up to find the nanny, dead.

The pack leaves the place that they once called home and try to flee from the curse that had befallen on them. As they tried to cross water rapids, Kiptcha, Huttser's sister, falles into it and is swept away. She goes over a waterfall and is sent flying through the air, until a giant boulder kills her instantly.

The remaining members of the pack, Palla, Huttser, Fell, Larka, Bran, and Kar set out to find an old wolf magicker. They find her but all she tells them is to stay toagather and never seperate, or it'll mean their deaths. When they were a little ways away, Bran sneaks off to find the magicker, only to find her dead, her neck ripped open. As he tries to find his way back to the others he comes upon a group of wolves sent to kill Huttser's pack. With fear and hate in his heart Bran howles and dis.

Huttser and Palla urgently search for Bran and they find him, whats left of him. Both ears gone, his entire coat covered with blood and a hind leg beyond repair. He tells them with his dying breath to go north the opposite direction where he sent the Night Hunters. With a moan he dies.

The wolf family flees until they reach a river, which is partialy iced over. The family tries to cross and all of them make it except Fell. He falls into the river and is swept away. Angered by her grief of losing her child, Palla attacks her mate, who in turn attacks her. Larka, who was already filled with grief, runs away. Kar follows her.

Kar and Larka go to a human village where they get food. As they slept in the forest, they are awakened to find the entire forest ablaze. The two try to flee but Kar gets trapped in a wall of fire. Larka stops to try to help her friend, but Kar urges her to go on, before he was totaly swallowed in the flames.

Larka esapes the forest fire and takes refuge with two wolves, a eagle and a human baby. She learns about the power of Sight and learns about what she must do to defeat Morgra.   "
