| Plot Summary of The Guardian |
"A young woman, Julie, is left depressed and lost after the death of her husband. Shortly after his death, she recieves a package that he had arranged to be sent to her. In it, she finds a puppy. At first she doesn't necessarily want the puppy, who she names Singer, but soon grows to love him.
Flash forward quite a few years. Julie finds that she is ready to begin dating again. She dates a few guys with no success. Singer seems to be able to sort the good guys apart from the bad ones. Eventually she meets Richard, who impresses her to no end - although Singer is not very fond of him. She dates him for a while, but soon realizes that although he is a wonderful man, there is no spark between them.
At about the same time she ends her relationship with Richard, she begins to have feelings for her best friend of many years, Mike. They get along wonderfully together, and Mike loves her dog. But Richard becomes very jealous and soon shows his dark side. For the remainder of the book, Mike and Julie struggle to keep away from Richard, who has now become a stalker - and a quite dangerous one at that. At the end of the book, Julie's guardian (can you guess who?) saves the day - and some lives. "

"Julie's husband died and left her a puppy she named Singer. The story is set four years later, at a point in her life when she is ready to begin dating again. She is torn between one man, Richard Franklin, who treats her like a queen and her husband's best friend, Mike Harris. Soon, however, she is caught up in one man's obsession with her. She must fight not only for her own life, but that of the man she loves and her beloved dog, Singer.
Her dog is a very important character in this story. Singer is Julie's best friend and a very good judge of character. This dog will protect her at all costs. It's abilities and relationship with Julie are amazing yet believable. Her relationship with her husband was similar and he left her this dog with the promise that he would always watch over her.

"Julie Barenson, who after four years, has finally moved on from the sudden death of her beloved husband named Jim, and is now ready to face a new chapter of her life, is know ready to commit herself to a right man. But because of fate, she happens to meet a man, Richard Franklin, who was nice at first but eventually became mean.
The novel focuses on romantic love between two people, Mike Harris and Julie, who have known each other for a long time for Mike was a good friend of Jim. They started as friends and later realized that they are in love with each other. Conflict came because Julie, before going out with Mike, has dated men she met at her work including Richard, unfortunately. Richard treated her like a “princess” for he would spend much money for their dates. When Julie backed off him, he pleaded but Julie's decision was firm. So what Richard did was he forced himself to Julie and worse, stalked her. It scares Julie and the rest of the characters because of Richard's weird actions. But because of Mike and Julie's love, they have conquered it.
