| Plot Summary of Spock's World |
"Spock receives urgent news from his father, Ambassador Sarek: Vulcan has introduced a motion to vote on Vulcan secession from the Federation. Beautifully interlaced with the plotline is a history of the planet Vulcan and its inhabitants. Especially endearing is the history of Surak, the eminent Vulcan logician. After heartrending scenes of Vulcan bigotry toward humans, Dr. McCoy discovers a plot behind the political intrigue. It is being directed by T'Pring, Spock's "ex" as he refers to her. "
Rev. Antonio Hernandez, Resident Scholar
