| Plot Summary of Silent Treatment |
"Dr. Harry Corbett's wife is given a medication that raised her blood pressure and ruptured an existing anuerysm. She was in the hospital to have it repaired the next morning when this happened. Harry was the last person seen entering and/or leaving her room. There was a woman who was sharing the room with Harry's wife but she was a recovering alcoholic and the hospital staff and the police investigator do not believe she is a trusted witness. The health insurers that provide coverage for Manhattan, are secretly killing off the most expensive patients/policyholders. They have hired a Dr. Anton Perchek to fulfill these deaths by accidental deaths (depending on what the patients disease is), so as not to have an autopsy done. What Harry finds out is that his wife was living a double life and trying to uncover this plot. She was undercover as an escort, was found out and silenced. Harry is the only suspect, because everyone thinks that he is making up an elaborate story."
