| Plot Summary of Angel |
" In a small town in Texas, Cassie Stuart, who is visiting her father from her hometown in Wyoming, decides to play matchmaker between two members of two feuding families. Instead of making things better, she now has both families threatening her unless she leaves for home. The problem is her father broke his leg while negotiating a deal away from home and he will not be able to come home any time soon, leaving her to run the ranch. So she decides to bring in a peacemaker friend of her father's, only he sends his bounty hunter friend instead, Angel.
Angel is a hard-edged man, who was kidnapped as child and raised by a mountain man, who actually comes from the same area as Cassie. She does not want his help becauses she believes he will make things worse, and he will not leave because he is honor bound to finish the job.
Against the odds, they feel an attraction for each other, even though they have such different backgrounds. Angel feels that with his background he is not good enough for Cassie. It is a compelling story were they take all the challenges thrown at them and manage to muddle through. Johanna Lindsey masters the wild west with this novel.
