| Plot Summary of Counterfeit Lady |
"Nicole is forced to pretend to be Clayton Amstrong's wife when she is nearly attacked on the ship she is sailing on to get to America. Clayton boards the ship expecting his prearranged wife to be there waiting for him, and instead he finds Nicole and is enraged. Being legaly married though, he has no choice but to take her back to his massive plantation and wait until it can all get sorted out. But during the stay Nicole proves herself intelligent and useful when she repairs the old mill that had been standing dormant for years. She starts her own little business and becomes quite successful and Clayton sees there may be more to her then he thought. It's when the jealous, original wife to be shows up and tries anything and everything she can to take Niccole's place that their love is tested."
