| Plot Summary of Island of Bones |
"After a hurricane sweeps up the Gulf Coast of Florida, private investigator Louis Kincaid finds an infant's skull on the beach, and a day later a young woman's body, felled by two shots in the back, turns up on a nearby island. Louis Kincaid is hired by a woman who fears her father may be involved in some way. At first, the man appears to be just what he is...a mild librarian who leads a quiet life. Asked to assist in the police investigation in an unofficial manner, Louis turns up information about other missing women, and realizes that the woman knows more than she is telling him about her father. "

"It started out as a harmless investigation into the life of an ordinarily boring librarian for Louis. But after the skull of a baby and the body of a young woman are found, this case becomes more complicated. These discoveries reopen cold case files that span over three decades. All the casefiles are of women presumed dead. During the investigation, Louis must team up with P.O. Mel Landetta. The resoulution of this case involves deep buried family secrets and a mysterious island."
Evert Borgia, Resident Scholar
