| Plot Summary of The Pleasure of My Company |
"Daniel Pecan Cambridge is no ordinary man. Having hobbies such as ironing pillows flat, making magic squares, and rearranging his light bulbs, the government decided he needed some free help--so they sent Clarissa. Daniel, although he can't cross streets at the curb, likes to analyze his psychiatrist, Clarissa, as she's analyzing him. In a tenderly funny romance, Daniel falls in love with Elizabeth the realtor, Clarissa, and Zandy the pharmacist while he tries to smother his fear of curbs, and break free into living "a normal life.""
