| Plot Summary of Caribbean Charade |
"Hoping to rekindle her spirit and forget a past love, Clanci Sutton reluctantly agrees to join her best friend on a Caribbean cruise. Visions of relaxing nights aboard ship and lazy days on sunny beaches go overboard when her ex-lover suddenly appears.
In a bold, face-saving move, Clanci invents an imaginary fiancé. To give credibility to the lie, she grabs the handsome Jared Hollister and begs him to pretend to be her lover.
To others, Clanci and Jared look like the perfect couple. With each other, they are unsure and tentative, dealing with feelings that are in constant turmoil as they explore the ship, exotic ports of call, and each other's personalities. While their friends engage in some good-natured, behind-the-scenes maneuvering to try to bring them closer, Clanci's ex-boyfriend attempts to drive them apart.
The cruise ship Enchantment carries them all on a romantic journey filled with fun and laughter, tears and heartache, plus some devious plotting aimed at exposing the truth behind a Caribbean Charade.
