Plot Summary of The Old Fox Deceiv'd
"On a foggy night in January, Gemma Temple was murdered as she was on her way to a Twelfth Night party. But maybe her name wasn't Gemma Temple. She had come to this small town of Rackmoor to convince wealthy Sir Titus Crael that she was really his ward, Dillys March, who had left the town 15 years earlier. She had come back to claim money which was owed to her. It is now up to Inspector Richard Jury and his friend, Melrose Plant, to find the murderer by digging up long-buried family secrets and uncovering hidden resentments in this small seaside community. "
