Plot Summary of If There Be Thorns
"It seemed as though Chris and Cathy were wonderful parents. They had fourteen year old Jory, who was thoughtful and bright, and then Bart, who was forever a troublemaker everywhere he went.

When this old woman moved in next door along with her butler in tow, Bart took a shine to her. She was extremely wealthy, and gave Bart everything he asked for and then told him to call her Grandma.

It was after this point in the story where Bart's transformation began. The old lady told him stories about his parents, and this lead him into terrible acts of violence.

When Bart trembles on the edge of total craziness, his parents aren't sure what to do about it, but are awaiting for something to happen. There was a horror that flowered in the attic many years ago, and the thorns are still bloodier then ever."
