Plot Summary of Darkside of Debonair - The Bushmeat Trade
"An American woman goes to Africa searching for scientists who are studing what chimpanzees are eating that may prevent them from developing AIDS. She hires a professional hunter and native trackers to help her. They uncover a poaching operation dealing with bushmeat (meat of endangered animals). The story turns to a struggle of survival and a rescue mission to save the scientists. A love interest developes between the woman and the hunter as a rift develops between her and one of the trackers, who discovers that his young sons are working for the poacher. This vividly told story shows the reader the different aspects and effects that the bushmeat crisis is creating"
