| Plot Summary of Cover Fire |
"During WWII Sergeant Randall is sent behind enemy German lines with a squad of British Jewish Commandos to find a new artillery piece called the "The Screecher" that is blowing apart the Allied lines. The over eager commandos run into a Nazi ambush and they are killed but the Randall is captured. Lieutenant Morgan along with his medic and three enlisted men volunteer to continue the search for "The Screecher" while their real aim is to find their sergeant. Once behind the lines they track Randall to a fresh grave and dig up their tortured sergeant buried alive. The squad flees the area to a French castle and with the aid of the Resistance hide in a tower. They are shocked to find their sergeant is mad believing he murdered his first patrol. Ignoring Randall's delusional state the Brass demands that Morgan get from Randall everything he learned about "The Screecher" within three days. Locked up in the castle tower with a mad man, surrounded by Nazi officers engaged in sex and gambling the strain begins to break apart the cohesion of the group. Lieutenant Morgan must keep his men alive, save Randall's sanity, find "The Screecher" that has already blasted apart his Company's position on the front lines and not fall victim to his own mistakes and self doubts.
