Plot Summary of Summer Sisters
"The story of two girls who grew up with each other."
Lacey, Resident Scholar

"Caitlin is a wild child who 'chooses' Vix to be her friend. She invites Vix to spend the summer with her and her family in Martha's Vineyard where the two girls embark on a summer of love and betrayal. Many years later, Caitlin invites Vix to be her maid of honor, even though they haven't seen each other in ages. Vix decides to go and learns about how Caitlin is able to rule her emotions."
Julie L., Resident Scholar

"A great novel for adults by Judy Blume. This writer is famed with writing books geared to the pre-teen and teen audience, but this novel is for adults waiting to become a Judy Blume fan. The story of 2 girls growing up, apart, and always having a connection to each other. I haven't read a Judy Blume book since I was a kid, and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It is more of a book for women, but I suppose men would enjoy it too. It made me laugh and cry. I loved it! This book is a quick and easy read, go get a copy today."
Darcey, Resident Scholar

"This is the moving story of two friends, Vix and Caitlin, who grow up together while sharing their summers on Martha's Vineyard. As Vix and Caitlin grow older, and apart, Vix realizes how much Caitlin has helped to make her the person she is today. But can their friendship survive all the changes to come? Will they be summer sisters forever?"
Lauren Socha, Resident Scholar
