| Plot Summary of Diamond in the Rough |
"Prudence Daniels runs a ranch in Colorado Territory in 1875 and provides a home and employment to unwed pregnant women. Her ranch is losing cattle. She grieves for her sister who died, unwed, due to a pregnancy complication. Brock Peters, a lawyer, grieves for his wife and son who died from cholera. He brings a pregnant girl to Prudence's ranch and ends up hired as ranch manager. During his stay he notices that cattle are being lost and decides to investigate. Prudence and Brock fight their attraction to each other but cupid has other ideas! There's romance for nearly everyone at the ranch and there's a lot of laughs too. A good read."
