Plot Summary of Glory Be To the Father, the Son...
"This book describes with humor and profound emotion the intensity of a family in collapse. The main character, Edward, wrestles with choosing a religious vocation and struggles with the decision to sever all ties with his family. In between he grapples with the adversities as well as the pleasures that girls, gangs, heroes, nuns and religion in South Chicago offer a young boy who must also cope with the dysfunction of his family and sometimes even himself."
Richard Stickann, Resident Scholar
