About This Life This 1998 collection brings together essays from the breadth of this marvelous writer's life, from travels to Hokkaido, aboard jet freighters, in the Galapagos and Antarctica, to his most personal attempts to see himself and the wonders and lessons of nature truly. Among the loveliest of the latter is an essay about regularly walking the river -- that's IN the river -- near his home in western Oregon, and another about the life and lessons written on his... Apologia Lopez meditates on the subject of road-killed animals.
