Latin America: A Concise Interpretive History
This is a history of all of Latin America (including Brazil, Jamaica, and other non-hispanic countries) from pre-colonial times to the present. Aimed at scholars of this topic of all levels, it offers detailed (though not exhaustive) analysis of major historical events, their causes, and present problems which plague the region. This is not a mere listing of facts, however, but as the title suggests, it is an "interpretive history".
