Granddaddy Jake Santee is 99 years old, brews a 95% proof whiskey called Ol' Death Whisper, which he drinks everyday and is supposed to give him immortality. He adopts his four year old son Tiny, who when older loves to make picket fences all day on their farm land. Jake is a gambler and won the farm in a poker hand.
