Next David talks about his life after his experience with child abuse. He tells in his book how he got on with his life. Dave talks about his son and how he has been an inspiration to Dave to not give up on life, Dave talks about his two marriages:the first one was with his son's mother and his previous marrage with his second wife, Martha. He talks a lot about Martha, how she has changed his out look on life.

"This book is an autobiography. It is a conclusion to "A Child Called It" and "The Lost Boy". This book focuses mostly on David's adult life; his dreams of becoming a naval firefighter, then a naval mid-aircraft refueler, and finally, a speaker and writer. He is in the navy for the better part of this book. He gets married, and has a child, but life difficulties cause them to divorce. David, finally, gets to meet the woman he loves, adores his son, Stephen, and gets to live in the serene place he'd always dreamed about. This book ends with happiness, fulfillment, and joy. I strongly suggest reading the first two books, "A Child Called It" and "The Lost Boy" before reading this book. As a trilogy, these books go from extreme depression and hopelessness, to dreams come true, love, and happiness. "

""A Man Named Dave" is the ending to the other two books David has written, "A Child Called 'It'" and "The Lost Boy." Unlike the other two books, this book is inspirational and full of love. David had to start all over and make new beginnings with his new family. He consentrated on what he has been wanting to do his whole life, fly. David moved on with his life and made everything better, not only for him, but for his son Stephen also. He had a wife, but had to divorce. Now he has found someone that loves him, and his son Stephen as much as they love her. This is truly an inspiration to anyone who reads it. David Pelzer is an extrodinary human being. "
