Plot Summary of The Dosadi Experiment
"In the far future the galactic federation discovers an experiment in forced evolution on the planet Dosadi. The froglike Gowachin have created the ultimate survival of the fittest environment, and now the experiment is almost out of control. The Dosadian populace are now so tough and so resourceful that they are capable of breaking out of their brutal prison planet and overrunning the galaxy. The themes of ecology, forced breeding, the emotions of survival, the boundaries of the legal and the moral, the closed versus open society, are typically Frank Herbert and very twenty-first century. A better work than 'The Green Brain' and an interesting adjunct to 'Dune', this is a story with raw energy, vivid, and with much to offer."
