"This is the story of Ariane the Betrayed and Simon the Loyal in the reign of King Henry the first. Ariane, a Norman heiress, must wed Simon. She makes her revulsion of the marriage bed known. All know she was betrayed but none knnow how or why...but the reader knows she was drugged and raped by a friend and not believed by her own father, hence the betrayel. This is her moving, wonderful story of overcoming fear and mending broken hearts."
