Plot Summary of Sweet Anger
"    The first time D.A. Hunter McKee sees Kari Wynne he is watching her on the news as she attends her husband's funeral. He is instantly attracted to her but he knows he is about to turn her world upside down. He is investigating the disappearance of government funds and her husband was involved. He calls her in for questioning and finds himself falling in love with her. Kari refuses to believe that her husband could have been involved in anything illegal or illicit so she uses her position as a local tv personality to discredit the new district attorney at every turn. In the end her actions get her suspended from her job and she goes away to sort out her feelings. Even though she hates him for what he did to her, she also finds herself very attracted to Hunter.
He tracks her down after she has been gone for over two months and finds that she has had time to cool down and realize that he was doing his job and that the things he had said about her husband were probably true. They spend the next week together almost constantly, spending one rainy day in bed exploring each other.
Once they return to Denver Hunter is ready to get married but Kari wants more time. After all Hunter has known he was in love with her for over a year but Kari has only just come to realize her feelings for him. She doesn't want to jump into a marriage too quickly."
