Plot Summary of Led Astray
"   The night before he is leaving on a humanitarian trip to Central America Jenny Fletcher decides to give her fiance the ultimate gift. Despite her best efforts she cannot entice Hal and ends up going to bed by herself. When her bedroom door opened later in the night she assumed it was Hal coming in and she offered herself to him. She is surprised when Hal leaves the next morning without so much as saying goodbye to her.

While Hal is gone Jenny finds herself attracted to his black sheep brother Cage Hendren. Hal's parents, the people who took Jenny in when her own parents died are not happy with the time that Jenny is spending with Cage. Hal is executed down in Monterico Cage and Jenny go down to escort the body back.

When Jenny discovers she is pregnant she tells Hal's parents; she assumes that they will be happy to know that a part of their son lives on but instead they yell at her and she leaves their house. With Cage's help she finds an apartment and goes to work for Cage as a secretary. The first time she felt the baby move was immediatly after making love to Cage and Jenny is suddenly overwhelmed by guilt.

She was carrying his brother's baby and she shouldn't have given in to her desire for Cage. Guilt over the fact that Hal may have died because he was distracted from his mission because she had enticed him into making love the night before he left. Unable to bear Jenny's unhappiness Cage confesses that it had really been him that had come into her room that night. He had come in to comfort her and had been unable to resist when she threw herself at him thinking he was Hal."
