| Plot Summary of The Californios |
"Sean Mulkerin arrives home from sea just in time to watch Zeke Woosten and his band of good-for-nothings try and drive his mother off of her ranch. The Mulkerins needed gold and needed it fast and an old Indian mystic was willing to lead them to ancient treasure. But the trail would be tough and Woosten and others would be hot on their trail, not to mention that a beautiful young woman was riding with Mulkerin as she tried to escape an arranged marriage! Time was running short, life as they knew it was on the line, but in the desert mountains of old California time and treasure are not always what they seem."
