| Plot Summary of Journal 1954-1965 |
"Alan Ginsburg recaps his homoseuxality and his love affair with Neal Cassidy that ends in being caught in the act by Carolyn Cassidy and subsequently ends in Alan being thrown out of the Cassidy home. Alan also comes to terms that while the affair was mutual, Cassidy was still a heterosexual man who did not love Alan mutually the way that Alan loves Neal. "
