"The unhappy inhabitants of the planet, Krikkit, are sick of looking at the same night sky every night, so the decide to destroy it. In other words, they intend to destroy the galaxy. Only five individuals stand in between the white killer robots of Krikkit and their goal of total annihilation. They are Aurther Dent, a space and time hitchhiker, who happens to be the second to last earthling alive, who also tries to learn how to fly by throwing himself at the ground and missing. Ford Prefect, Author's best friend who is from Beetle Juice 5, who decides to go insane to see if he likes it. Slartibartfast, the vice president of the Campaign for Real Time, who travels in a ship powered by irrational behavior, ex-employee of Magrathya. Zaphod Beeblebrox, the two-headed three-armed ex-president of the universe. And Trillion, a sexy hitchhiker (who happens to come from earth)."
