Nathan is harrassed by a mysterious man who threatens to kidnap and kill his mother in Miami if the young successful writer doesn't give him $50,000 in cash in the next 48 hours. Furthermore, his own father is agonizing in Florida and Nathan must rejoin his family and witness the last hours of the dying man. "
