Plot Summary of The Fifth Elephant
"Commander Vimes, of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, is sent to the fat, rich country of Uberwald to participate in the crowning of the Low King of the Dwarves. After meeting people, things start getting a little messy and "political" with "diplomatic" overtones as Vimes discovers the theft of the real Scone of Stone from the dwarves.
Being a copper he's got to solve the crime but he's also got to survive the investigation. Cut off from reinforcements in a place where the Watch badge is merely a rather ugly brooch, he has to solve a murder, return a scone, stop the werewolves from making things worse than they already are...oh, and keep from not becoming dead!"
