"Book 7 of Flinx and Pip. While Flinx is trying to avoid trouble, he ends up on Midworld. The AAnn follow and try to capture him to get answers about his ship's ability to land on a planet. While trying to keep the native flora and fauna from killing him and the AAnn from get what they want, he meets humans who have been on Midworld for eight hundred years and have some unique adaptations."
