Hiking in Karselen
There is nothing appealing about the metropolitan lakeside town of Thun, but outside of town is a lot of very scenic farmland with gentle rolling hills and small narrow paths (that actually go through the farms) which are quite
a pleasure to walk through. One such farming community is called Karselen and it is accessible by bus from Thun. There are many paths you can take, generally you can hike as long as you like and then head down to Thun. The only thing to be careful about is that there is an army base between Karselen and Thun so try to make sure not to get crushed by a swiss tank.
