Dear Ms Sender, I have had the privilege of teaching The Cage once again to my students. They are so involved in your experience. They want to meet you so desperately. I know that may not be possible, but a few years back, you graciously agreed to a phone conference. WOuld you be open to that again? It was a life changing experience for my students and for me. Thank you for your courage and sharing your story.

Ms. Sender: I had the privilege of reading your book the Cage in the seventh grade; that was over 22 years ago. Your story as well as others like it have left a indelible marks on my heart. That same little 12 year old girl wrote a letter to you...and much to my surprise you wrote back! You closed the letter with, "As long as there's life there is hope." I must have read that letter 50 times! Your simple act of kindness has stayed with me. No words will ever be enough to express my gratitude...so I will simply say, I will always remember. May G_D continue to bless and keep you.

Dear Mrs. Sender, my English class just finished reading The Cage. My English class is a great class, and I think it would be great if you could visit my class, in Gilbert High School. We would be happy to have you visit us. Oh and I have some questions that I was wondering I could ask about your book.

Dear Ruth, I will read that poem and I will make sure that I teach them as much as I can about you and what you have been through. I have said many times to them as long as there is life there is hope. Ever since I read it in the Cage it is all I can think about when something happens and makes me depressed. We haven't even met and I fell that you have taught me so much. Thank you XOXO Madelynn

Dear Ruth. I understand not being able to travel this far, it is quite a long trip. I plan on reading the rest of your books, To Life, Remember Your Name, and The Holocaust Lady. I think I will have to go a public library because I don't know if my school library will have some of your books, but I will do whatever it takes to get a hold of them. I will be sure to tell Mrs. Flayton you say hi, she will be excited. I'm sorry if this is annoying, but, do you think it could be possible to have a video chat with you since it is too far of a travel? I just think it would be really amazing if my class could talk to you and meet a real survivor. Best of wishes, XOXO Madelynn
