this is so sad. Having just read David's first 3 books and Richard's first 2 books I think they should bond and work together to create family for each other and be trustworthy for each other, become friends and be there for each other. Don't let her win.

i can understand why the two brothers do not talk, my brother and i were raised by an abusive parent. my older brother was hit and beat daily for a few years, and when i was 12 being my mouthy self as they said i yelled stop they did not so i walked out side and screamed so loud everyone on the block came. it stopped that day for my brother and i we never were hit again but my brother was so embarrased for me screaming he has never really talked to me about it, just once years ago he left me a note that said ronnie thanks you know why. you know when i got that note it was the first time my mind went back there in 20 years and i cried so hard my children thought i would die. I think sometimes people just need to move on i did and maybe that is how the brothers feel . God bless them both.

I think his books were great. I saw him speak last week, it was great. I cant wait to read his next book. He said it was a fiction novel coming out this year.

I think that Tammy should be ashamed of herself for saying that! All siblings have problems and issues with one another, there will always be something bad to say about somebody- that doesn't mean you dont love them anyway. David Pelzer went through quite a bit,he has every right to speak about it if thats what he wants to do- it isn't up to you Tammy to judge him, if you don't like him then just don't read his books. Just because you are hateful and meanspirited, doesnt mean you should make everyone else on this forum listen your critisism and derision. Shame on you!

gee, Tammy sure likes to use the word "quote". it's too bad she doesn't know how to spell, write, or use it in a sentence correctly.

I am amazed at what he went through and how well he has turned out. He spoke at my school this week and is an amazing man. I wish him all the happiness in the world

I think his books are great. They were hard to read and i think what he has done since is amazing. I saw him speak recently and he was really good.

Both Richard and Dave need to grow up. I've all the book that both authors have written and numerous articles/interviews about them. Dave comes off as a liar, not because of his books, but because he has been quoted saying " I will never say anything negative about richard". In his book moving forward he acually writes 4 whole pages down grading a person he calls "E.M" but who is VERY clearly his brother. What happened 30 some years ago to these guys, HAPPENED 30 YEARS AGO. They both need to quit hating each other and at least try to be civil, if not brotherly, to each other. Someone really needs to tell them "play nice with your brother boys".

I read all Richard's books and found them heart wrenching and very touching. I learned a lot about what teens go through when their in that situation. I leaned more about troubled teens from Richard than anywhere else. Keep up the good work. BTW I saw you speak in Atlanta in April. You were great.

Don't comment about the good and bad of their adulthood. I was "IT" before there was any help for it, and as an adult I know that you can't condemn or judge others, especially men that have gone through this. In 1972, at age 15, I calmly told my mom to never hit me again, and she understood her reign was over. The next day my dad told me to leave and not come back.
